Alaska Airlines Flight 2020 diverts to PDX due to hydraulic failure

On Monday afternoon, an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle, Washington to Redmond, Oregon was diverted to Portland International Airport.
“Horizon 2020, we’d like to declare an emergency. We have about 74 souls on board. Looks like we…we have about 3 hours of fuel onboard and we have a loss of a #2 hydraulic system,” a pilot says on recordings obtained by ABC News via LIVEATC.NET. “That’s all we know of right now, however, we might be stopping straight ahead and not have nose wheel steering.”
Alaska Airlines issued the following statement Tuesday morning:
“Yesterday, flight 2020 operated by Horizon Air flying from Seattle to Redmond, Ore. – diverted to Portland, Ore. due to an issue involving the hydraulic system that controls various systems on the aircraft, including control of the nose wheel steering. Our flight crew is trained for scenarios like this, declared an emergency for priority landing, and landed without incident. We swapped the aircraft and guests arrived to their destination about two hours later than scheduled. The aircraft is being inspected by our maintenance team. We apologize to our guests for the inconvenience.”
Video of the landing, shot by @KeithPDXAir, showed the nose wheel shaking as it rolled down the runway.
No injuries were reported and passengers arrived in Redmond a few hours later.
