China Hat Road homeless scrambling to move before official closure

A large forest restoration project south of Bent will close the area to the public and displace dozens of homeless people. The Cabin Butte Fuel Reduction Project in the China Hat area is designed to protect Bend from wildfire using prescribed burns and thinning of the forest.
