A 13-year-old was fatally shot early Sunday morning when stray bullets flew through a Gresham apartment wall, striking him as he slept, police officials say.
Police have not released any information on the suspect or suspects in the shooting.
Several people called 911 at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday reporting gunfire inside an apartment in the 4700 block of Southwest 11th Street.
Some of the rounds went through walls and into a neighboring apartment, police said, hitting a sleeping 13-year-old boy.
Officers started first aid before he was rushed to a hospital, however, he died of the gunshot wounds.
