Portland man dubbed ‘TriMet Barber’ gets 22 years in prison for photographing women in restrooms

A convicted sex offender who gained the moniker the "TriMet Barber” for cutting women’s hair and throwing bodily fluids on public buses, was sentenced to 22 years prison on Friday.

Jared Walter was being sentenced for a 2023 case where he was found guilty on more than 30 counts of invasion of privacy for photographing women in public restrooms, among other charges.

The judge who handed down the 22-year prison sentence said Walter will get credit for the time he has already served. He was also sentenced to two years of post prison supervision.
