Portland General Electric proposes another rate hike, 40% increase across 3 years

Many of you could soon be paying more for your electricity. New filings with the Public Utility Commission show Portland General Electric wants to increase rates by nearly 11%. That’s an increase from the 7.4% hike PGE requested earlier this year.
Some estimate electricity bills have gone up by nearly 70% since 2014.
"It makes it really hard when I rely strictly on Social Security and a very little pension, said Pattie Butler who has lived in her Centennial Neighborhood home for nearly a decade.
