Harrowing 911 calls reveal kayaker was hanging onto a ledge for 20 minutes before disappearance

A kayaker remains missing after going over the Willamette Falls on April 13, despite desperate efforts by witnesses and police to locate him.

Calls to 911 obtained by KATU News reveal frantic attempts from bystanders to assist the man, later identified as 20-year-old Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez from Porterville, California, who was last seen struggling in the water.

The call logs revealed three different people called in to report seeing Angelo Rodriguez hanging onto a structure and calling for help. All three callers attempted to describe their location to authorities, but to no avail.
