Oregon State Police dashcam shows semi overturning on curve

Oregon State Police released this dashcam footage of a semi-truck tipping over and landing on its side on I-5 after the driver lost control on a curve on April 14, 2025. Nobody was seriously hurt, OSP said. This crash happened at the Sexton Summit, a known trouble spot due to the sharp curve, excessive speeds, and frequent wet road conditions. OSP said the curve has a recommended speed of 60 mph, but the truck — carrying 75,000 pounds of large paper rolls, was traveling too fast to handle the curve.
