Lithium-ion battery fire contained after ‘exploding’ on Portland State University campus

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to reports of lithium-ion batteries "exploding" and catching fire on the fourth floor of the engineering building at Portland State University.
A command officer directed a thorough search of the affected floor and the floor above to ensure nobody is impacted by toxic smoke.
