Police arrest suspect from Monday’s armed standoff in NW Portland; PPB chief points to de-escalation

Portland Police’s Special Emergency Reaction Team is on the scene of NW 21st Ave and NW Hoyt St in an incident involving the suspect from Monday night’s armed standoff with officers.

KATU News confirmed the suspect is being taken into custody after negotiations have taken place. He was reportedly inside his tent during negotiations.
