City of Bend says Jackstraw project will ‘stabilize rent’ despite its lack of affordable units

The lack of affordable units in the Jackstraw apartment complex being built in the Box Factory has been a major concern since the project’s inception. The City of Bend says the project will fill a need for those trying to find housing in the middle income bracket, and help stabilize rent around bend.
