Rep. Emerson Levy introduces house bill aimed at keeping sex offenders out of schools

State Representative Emerson Levy and Bend- La Pine school district are hoping to a pass a bill that would make it easier for schools to detect sex offenders. It comes three years after the incident at High Desert Middle School, when staff unknowingly let in a registered sex offender.
