CAUGHT ON CAM: Fire whirl dust devil at Crazy Creek Fire near Paulina

Members of the Southwest Area Incident Management Team No. 5 got this video of a “dust devil” or “fire whirl” at the Crazy Creek Fire near Paulina.
“These phenomena are created by a combination of temperature, topography, weather and other factors. This one was likely the result of hot, dry air near the ground rising and twisting as heat from the fire created a localized updraft,” managers said on Facebook.
