Intervals of smoke for the foothills, hot temps return for everyone Thursday. High pressure is building and some days will be more smoky than others in the foothills, even periods of smoke possible for the Willamette Valley through the end of the week. Monsoonal moisture will cool things off with clouds on Friday, but our thunderstorm chances have shifted east into Southern and Central Oregon. By next week, clouds diminish but smoke and warm temperatures remain from high pressure anchored to the south.
