Western Snowy Plover nesting season begins along Oregon Coast amid conservation efforts

It’s nesting season for the Western Snowy Plover along the Oregon Coast.
The small shoebird, about the size of a sparrow, is listed under the US Endangered Species Act as threatened. Human activity, habitat loss, and predation are the main contributors to its population decline.
ARC PDX talked with the Bird Alliance of Oregon about the small birds, the threats they face today, and how you can help protect them.
