Fewer deaths reported under Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act despite more prescriptions

Prescriptions for life-ending medications under Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act increased between 2023 and 2024, while the number of deaths went down, according to new Oregon Health Authority data.
