Portland teen in critical condition after shooting near Cathedral Park, another teen turns self in

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting over the weekend near Cathedral Park in North Portland that left another teen with critical injuries.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 23.

The victim, identified by family members as 16-year-old Elliott Beck, are calling on the community for positive thoughts and prayers as he remains in stable yet critical condition after being shot in the head.

KATU’s Christina Giardinelli talked with a family-friend of the Becks about Elliott’s condition, and asking for anyone with information in the case to step forward.
