Affordable Rental Housing Shortage

A new report released by Housing Action Illinois and the National Low Income Housing Coalition reveals there are only 34 affordable rental homes available for every 100 low income households in Illinois, with even less options in the Chicago-area. Proposed cuts to the Department of Housing and Urban Development could make the problem even worse. Bob Palmer, Policy Director at Housing Action Illinois, joins WGN’s Micah Materre to discuss.
