Heat is on the rise, thunderstorm chances for weekend

Heat is on the rise, thunderstorm chances expected for the weekend. Cold front is long gone and will be replaced with high pressure later this week. Building high pressure will result in temperatures near 100-degrees on Wednesday, cooler weather by Saturday afternoon. The cooler temperatures are a result of monsoonal moisture producing clouds and thunderstorm chances early in the day on Saturday morning. There is plenty of available moisture for rainfall on Saturday, but you can still have fire starts with heavy rain and we need to be on the lookout for smoke into this weekend. Calmer, but hot conditions resume Sunday and beyond.
