Here’s how you can get a REAL ID in Oregon before the May 7 deadline

As the May 7 deadline for REAL ID enforcement approaches, Oregon residents are being urged to prepare for changes at airport checkpoints and certain federal facilities.

The Oregon DMV is experiencing increased demand for REAL ID appointments, particularly in densely populated areas. In response, the DMV has expanded appointment availability and deployed additional staff to manage the influx.

Despite these efforts, longer wait times are anticipated.
