Oregon representatives hold town hall with federal employees
1 min read
Oregon lawmakers are hosting a town hall in Portland on Monday for current federal employees and others who were fired by the Trump administration.
The meeting was specifically held so workers who recently lost their jobs amid cuts from the new federal department known as DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency, can talk directly with their representatives about the impacts on a state level.
In attendance at the Federal building in Portland are Oregon Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, along with U.S. Representatives Suzanne Bonamici, Val Hoyle, Andrea Salinas and Maxine Dexter. The state’s Attorney General Dan Rayfield will also be at the town hall.
