Chinook Nation & Wild Coast Film Festival
1 min read
The Chinook Indian Nation consists of 5 tribes all along the mouth of the Columbia river, on both the Oregon and Washington side. They were briefly recognized Federally in 2001 for eighteen months before it was rescinded and have been making efforts to reacquire that status ever since. Secretary/Treasurer Rachel Cushman joins to talk about the CIN and the Wild Coast Film Festival taking place in Astoria on March 15th, where they will have a public panel discussion about the film Haxawyam (Guardians of the Waters).
