Portland Police have arrested a 34-year-old woman on five misdemeanor counts of maintaining a dangerous dog in connection with an attack in July 2024 that left another woman with severe injuries.
According to court documents, Mytoka Petry was attacked and mauled by two dogs after visiting her brother at his apartment, and walking down a trail past an encampment.
Petry’s brother ran to the scene when he heard her screaming and broke up the attack while armed with a hammer. Petry had to have her left arm amputated and also lost her left ear. She also lost part of her lips due to the attack, along with a myriad of other serious injuries.
