Fired BLM worker at Oregon’s Yaquina Head Lighthouse says promotion put her in crosshairs

A former Bureau of Land Management worker at Oregon’s historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse who lost her job as part of the Trump administration’s layoff of federal employees said Friday it was a promotion that put her in the crosshairs.
Sabrina Gorney said she believes she was one of roughly 800 employees fired from the agency last month.
Reportedly the layoffs mostly have applied to probationary and underperforming workers.
But Gorney said it was a promotion that caused her to have that status.
