It’s that time again. High school playoff basketball is taking center stage in the month of March and players, coaches and fans all come down with a bout of hoops hysteria.

At Hillcrest High School, the MVPAA—or “most valuable public address announcer”—is Rudolph Maybell, or Rudy for short.
