Senator Slotkin says Trump’s economic plan only benefits his billionaire buddies

Slotkin mostly focused on the economic issues facing many families today that were a driving factor in the November elections. Inflation has continued to squeeze budgets and Trump’s tariff agenda has concerned economists about prices moving higher again.

“Grocery and home prices are going up, not down — and he hasn’t laid out a credible plan to deal with either,” Slotkin said.

She offered some conciliatory tones on some of the issues Trump spoke on, including the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency that has moved to slash tens of thousands of jobs across the federal government and cut government spending by hundreds of billions of dollars.
