Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green discusses why he heckled President Trump during his speech

President Donald Trump said there is nothing he can do to please Democrats in a joint address to Congress that got off to a combative start with interruptions in a bitterly divided chamber.
A Democratic lawmaker was removed from the House chamber in the opening minutes of Trump’s joint address to Congress after yelling as the president tried to speak and refusing to take his seat.
Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, was removed from the chamber by the House sergeant at arms at the direction of House Speaker Mike Johnson after refusing to take his seat and yelling toward the lectern at Trump as he tried to deliver the opening of his address.
Green repeatedly yelled at Trump that he didn’t have an electoral mandate as the president tried to tout his 2024 election victory that included a sweep of the seven swing states and the popular vote. As he was removed from the chamber, Republicans cheered with a chant of “USA! USA! USA!”
