Sibling scientists studying truffles using a dog’s nose

Heather and Hilary Dawson are sibling scientists from University of Oregon. Heather is pursing a doctorate in Biology and Hilary already has one. They are studying the biodiversity in Oregon’s truffles and utilizing Heather’s dog Rye to find them. They’ll discuss their findings, the importance of truffle’s in Oregon and how they’ve managed to train Rye (and a previous dog Cricket) for the important work they do.
