Disability Pride Month: Why it matters and how to celebrate

Today marks 34 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush. While not yet nationally recognized, Disability Pride Month is still celebrated by many people during July to commemorate this victory.

Depending on who you talk to, disability pride can take on many meanings.
