Deadly police shooting at Salem, Oregon airport

Authorities are investigating a deadly police shooting at the Salem airport, on Thursday.

Oregon State Police troopers responded to the Army Aviation Support Facility at the airport, located in the 1900 block of Turner Road SE, after receiving a report about a suspicious person.

Few details have been released. According to investigators, an altercation ensued when a trooper confronted the suspect and shots were fired. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
