Police chase ends in fiery crash, killing 2 and injuring a 3rd | NBC4 Washington

Two people were killed and a third person was hurt after police pursued three people suspected of armed robbery from Annapolis, through Prince George’s County and into Southeast D.C., where the car crashed.
Two of the people inside the car died at the scene of the crash, and a third was taken to the hospital before being arrested and appearing in D.C. Superior Court on Wednesday, authorities said.
The BMW crashed into a tree in the 4100 block of Southern Avenue SE on Tuesday afternoon. News4 video footage shows the mangled wreckage.
A resident said she heard the violent crash.
“It was just a ‘Boom, boom, boom, boom boom!’ And then I heard screaming,” she said, saying she still could picture the wreckage.
Police suspected the people in the car of bank jugging — armed robberies of people withdrawing money from banks or making deposits. The car matched the description of one used in multiple armed robberies.
