President Trump welcomes French President Macron to the White House

President Donald Trump is set to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week as tensions rise over transatlantic relations and the war in Ukraine.

Trump will host Macron on Monday, the three-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, while Starmer will visit the White House on Thursday.

The visits come as Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are at odds over how to end the war and continue to participate in a public spat.

Trump recently called Zelenskyy a "dictator" and falsely claimed Kyiv started the war with Russia when in fact, Russia invaded its smaller and lesser-equipped neighbor in February 2022.
