Bartram Trail girls soccer team tops Sunlake, moves on to state championship game

The Bears beat Sunlake 1-0 on Thursday in the Class 6A state semifinals at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale. The win sends Bartram (17-1-4) into its fourth state title game in the past six seasons on Saturday. The Bears will face either St. Thomas Aquinas or Lakewood Ranch at 7 p.m. for the crown. Northern St. Johns County schools have cleaned up on the championship stage in recent years.
