Bend couple killed in avalanche remembered for love of skiing, community

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday identified the couple as Terance Olaf Skjersaa, 57, and Susan Renee Skjersaa, 52. They were known to everyone as Terry and Renee and were part of a family with decades of history in the local skiing scene.
