Winning Names Announced: Portlanders pick new plow nicknames using ranked choice voting

The Portland Bureau of Transportation on Monday revealed the winners of its snowplow naming contest.

Last December, PBOT called on its citizens to submit names for five of its 56 snowplows. Twenty names made the list of finalists and almost 16,000 people voted to select the winners.

The winning names are:

The Big Leplowski
Beverly Clear-y
Brrrnside
Salt and Thaw
Plowy McPlowface
