Recent high school grad dies in ATV-related sledding accident in Dundee, Oregon

A young woman died Thursday afternoon in a tragic sledding accident in rural Dundee, Oregon, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Friday, the sheriff identified the woman as 18-year-old Lily Vanderhoff of Newberg. They say she was a recent graduate of Newberg High School.

"They were towing a sled with an ATV and just had an unfortunate incident where the sled kind of drifted further out from where they intended for it to be," Sheriff Sam Elliott said during an interview with KATU.
