Snow and freezing rain ends, leaving a cold icy mess across Oregon and SW Washington
1 min read
Residents in the Willamette Valley and southwest Washington woke up to more winter weather on Friday.
Freezing rain made its way up the I-5 corridor Thursday night before making the change back to snow just after midnight.
“One big change this morning is that we’ve seen the east wind really die down,” said Storm Tracker 2 Meteorologist Rhonda Shelby. “An onshore flow will begin and that’s when we will see places in the southern and mid-Willamette Valley begin to moderate.”
