Emergency warming shelters are opening their doors Monday night ahead of what could be difficult – and dangerous – conditions this week.

Wind is expected to pick up overnight as temperatures drop into the 20-degree range.

By Thursday, freezing rain, sleet, or snow – or all three – could sweep the region.
