Rip City Remix inspires young readers with ‘Read with Remix’ initiative

The Rip City Remix may only be in their second season, but they already made a meaningful impact in the community.

Their influence extends beyond basketball, as the team has launched an initiative to encourage literacy among local youth.

For two weeks, students at Chief Joseph Elementary School took part in the "Read with Remix" program, which directed them to dedicate at least 20 minutes to reading, five days a week.

Those who met the challenge are being rewarded with tickets to Monday’s game—a gesture to celebrate their achievement and reinforces the value of education.
