President Trump signs order seeking to bar transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday that looks to ban transgender athletes from playing in girls’ and women’s sports.

The order – called "Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports" – was signed Wednesday, cooresponding with National Girls and Women in Sports Day. It involves how his administration will interpret Title IX, the law best known for its role in pursuing gender equity in athletics and preventing sexual harassment on campuses.
