Portland police and Crisis Negotiation on the scene of a barricade in N Portland neighborhood

A Portland Police Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) are on the scene of a possible barricade situation in the St. Johns neighborhood.

Officers were called out to the scene after receiving a call about a potentially wanted individual outside of a home in the area. Officers arrived and found the suspect, who they say has active warrants out for his arrest for unspecified, non-violent crimes.

When officers confronted the suspect, they said he ran into a home where they believed he had been living.
