Firefighters rescue stranded deer on a frozen Oregon lake

The Mist-Birkenfeld Fire Department and several neighboring agencies responded to a deer trapped on the ice Wednesday morning.

The Fire Chief at Mist-Birkenfeld, Joe Kaczenski, tells KATU News that he started receiving calls at 8:30 a.m. about a deer struck on Fishhawk Lake on the border of Clatsop and Columbia Counties.
