Defense lawyers delivered closing arguments Monday in the political corruption trial of former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.
Madigan’s defense team took aim at the government’s star witness, former Chicago alderman Danny Solis, who wore a wire that recorded secret conversations with Madigan and co-defendant Michael McClain from 2016 to 2019.
