Portland police raid ‘chop shop’ operation in Happy Valley
1 min read
Portland police and federal officials raided two chop shops in Happy Valley near the Multnomah County line on Monday.
According to Deputy District Attorney Cody Linderholm, one shop may have been linked to hundreds of stolen cars.
During a press briefing, Linderholm said a car stolen from a different county led them to the specific operation off Southeast 172nd Avenue and Huckleberry Street.
He said his team tracked the vehicle and it eventually made its way to the shop they had been tracking.
