Burglar breaks into ‘The Pickle Jar’

The official retail store of the Portland Pickles Baseball team was broken into and robbed early Thursday morning.

Portland police confirmed that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. the suspect broke the front door of The Pickle Jar on Southwest Taylor, stealing about $1,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing.

Colleen Schroht, whose official title is VP of hot dogs & hats, said the perpetrator was able to get into the store in a way that the alarms weren’t triggered.
