Oregon, Washington education leaders enact safeguards amid directive for ICE arrests

Washington officials are releasing new information to safeguard migrant students in K-12 schools.
It comes days after a new directive from President Donald Trump to direct U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to arrest people while on school campuses.
The guidance outlines requirements concerning student privacy, access to education services, and immigration enforcement on school campuses. In Oregon, schools are also taking similar measures to protect their students.
