Trump axes Biden’s executive order on artificial intelligence, plans to invest billions

The newly inaugurated President Donald Trump is taking steps to deregulate artificial intelligence, also known as AI, and invest billions of dollars in developing it.

In case you missed it, AI is quickly infiltrating our everyday lives.

You might have upgraded your smartphone — the latest versions of which feature countless AI elements.
You also might have noticed it on your email, where AI is trying to finish your sentences and summarize your messages.

You’ve probably seen it in the search features on your social media apps or search engines, where it paraphrases what the internet says is the answer to whatever question you just typed into the search bar.

It’s not new, but it’s being implemented at lightning speed, and will likely speed up in the coming months and years under the new administration.
