Former shelter dogs are helping with rescue, recovery in LA

The Search Dog Foundation is a nationwide organization that takes shelter dogs deemed in part to be ‘too high energy’ and trains them to be rescue animals. These dogs are partnered with firefighters and first responders to help find people buried or trapped in rubble.
Denise Sanders, director of communications and search team operations, joins FOX 12 Now to talk about the organization and how these dogs are helping the rescue and recovery effort in LA.
