New study predicts dementia cases to double by 2060, risk increases from age 55

The risk is much greater than previously thought and begins as early as 55. Dementia affects more than 6 million Americans and is a leading cause of disability. Now new research suggests earlier estimates of the number of people who will be robbed of their memory and mind were way off the mark.
