Cow that swam from Washington to Oregon chased on I-84

A cow that swam across the Columbia River from Washington to Oregon had to be chased down as it ran along Interstate 84 on New Year’s Day.
Oregon State Police released dash cam video of the cow trotting along the freeway while someone else was chasing it.
OSP posted on Facebook that the 4-H cow jumped a 5-foot fece and another 3-foot barbed wire fence from a property in Washington a few days earlier. The owners couldn’t track it down.
The cow apparently jumped into the Columbia River and anglers saw it heading up the bank toward the freeway near Hood River on Jan. 1.
As people tried to corral the cow, it jumped the median into the eastbound lane and kept running along the shoulder, eventually getting to the railroad tracks and walking through a tunnel.
Eventually, a young woman stopped in front of the cow on the tracks. The cow stopped, stared at her, then collapsed from exhaustion, OSP said.
He was loaded into a horse trailer and eventually reunited with its owners.
