Students protest district’s handling of teacher sex misconduct case at Hudson’s Bay High

tudents walked out of class Monday at Hudson’s Bay High School, protesting the district’s handling of a sexual misconduct case involving a teacher at the Vancouver area high school.

The walkout began after third period at 10:50 a.m. with students carrying signs and occasionally chanting things like "keep us safe." They then marched about two miles to Vancouver School District offices.

They called for their principal, Valarie Seeley and a district administrator, Bill Oman, to be fired over their alleged handling of reports made against an English teacher as early as 2009.
